Pharmacy Manager:

Nic Mastascusa, Pharm.D.

Mr. Mastascusa joined Hot Shots Nuclear Medicine in May 2008 after graduating from the University of Iowa with a Pharm.D degree. Shortly thereafter he earned his Authorized Radioactive Materials User Certificate from Purdue University in August 2008. Two years later he was promoted to his current position as the manager of the Cedar Rapids, IA pharmacy. Much of Nic’s free time is spent with either his wife and kids, working on home improvement projects, or on aviation. Nic was raised in Mukwonago, Wisconsin and returns often to farm with his brother-in-law.

Staff Pharmacist:

Brett Hamann, Pharm.D.

Brett joined Hot Shots Nuclear Medicine in the spring of 2013 upon graduating from the University of Iowa. After training in Cedar Rapids, Brett relocated to our Rockford site as a staff pharmacist. In January of 2015, he rejoined our team in Cedar Rapids. In his free time Brett enjoys playing guitar, cooking, and staying active. Originally from Davenport, IA; Brett enjoys going back to help with his father’s tavern and also visit family on their farms.

Staff Pharmacist:

Mo Masum, Pharm.D.

A byproduct of being born in Bangladesh, raised in Brooklyn, being fed curry chicken at home and a thin slice pizza on the streets. Realizing in high school that his dream of becoming a basketball player was ludicrous going up against other 15-16 year olds where their stature/size indicated otherwise, he decided to go the more conservative route and lift books.
Now just another soul passing thru life with its uncertainties, finds himself a proud member of Hot Shots Nuclear Medicine in Cedar Rapids where he considers himself to be a minimalist living life to the max.  Often goes back to NYC to make sure he still has his ball handling skills and schedules his days there around food.  Loves to camp, hike, read, think, ride his motorcycle and go boxing during his spare time. Fly like a butterfly and sting like a sestami-bee!
